Instructions
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, combine the milk, vegetable oil, and maple syrup (if using).
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Grease a baking dish and pour the batter into it.
Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
This cornbread is best served warm. Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
