Drunken Monkey Rum Cocktail Recipe

  • 2 oz dark rum
  • 1 oz banana liqueur
  • 1 oz coconut cream
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup (optional, depending on your sweetness preference)
  • Ice cubes
  • Banana slice and maraschino cherry for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Glass

  1. Chill a highball or cocktail glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes to ensure your drink stays cold longer.

Step 2: Mix the Ingredients

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Add the dark rum, banana liqueur, coconut cream, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup (if using) to the shaker.
  3. Shake well for about 15-20 seconds until the mixture is well-chilled and thoroughly combined.

Step 3: Strain and Serve

  1. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice.
  2. Garnish with a banana slice and a maraschino cherry for a finishing touch.
