- 2 oz tequila
- 1 oz Chambord raspberry liqueur
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz triple sec or Cointreau
- 0.5 oz simple syrup (optional, depending on your sweetness preference)
- Ice cubes
- Lime wedge and raspberries for garnish
- Salt or sugar for rimming the glass (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Your Glass
- Chill a margarita glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes to ensure your drink stays cold longer.
- Rim the glass with salt or sugar. To do this, run a lime wedge around the edge of the glass, then dip it into a plate of salt or sugar.
Step 2: Mix the Ingredients
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Add the tequila, Chambord, fresh lime juice, triple sec (or Cointreau), and simple syrup (if using) to the shaker.
- Shake well for about 15-20 seconds until the mixture is well-chilled and thoroughly combined.
Step 3: Strain and Serve
- Strain the mixture into the prepared margarita glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a lime wedge and a few fresh raspberries for a finishing touch.
